EligiCheck ("we", "us", "our") helps you understand your loan and credit card eligibility by analysing a credit bureau report that you choose to upload. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected. We never run a hard enquiry on your behalf, and we never share your data with any bank or lender.
01 What We Collect
When you use EligiCheck, we collect:
- Your bureau report: the CIBIL, Experian, Equifax or CRIF High Mark PDF you upload, including the credit data it contains (score, account history, DPD records, enquiry history, credit utilisation).
- Financial inputs you provide: monthly income, existing EMI obligations, and the loan amount or product you're checking eligibility for.
- Basic account and usage data: email address if you sign up, and standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
We do not ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, or bank login credentials, and we never pull a fresh bureau report on your behalf.
02 How We Use It
- To parse your uploaded report and calculate your approval probability across supported loan products.
- To generate your personalised action plan for improving eligibility.
- To improve the accuracy of our scoring model over time, using de-identified or aggregated data only.
- To communicate with you about your results, product updates, or support requests, if you've opted in.
03 What We Never Do
- We never initiate a hard enquiry with any bureau. Your credit score is not affected by using EligiCheck.
- We never share, sell, or transmit your uploaded report or financial details to any bank, NBFC, lender, or third-party marketer.
- We never use your data to make lending decisions on a bank's behalf — EligiCheck is an independent, informational tool only.
04 Data Storage & Retention
Your uploaded report and financial inputs are processed to generate your eligibility report and stored securely on our servers for as long as your account is active, so you can revisit past results. You can request deletion of your report and account data at any time (see Section 7). Backups may persist for a limited period for disaster-recovery purposes before being purged.
05 Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are viewed, general location (city/country level), device type, and referral source. This helps us improve the product and doesn't identify you personally. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can opt out using your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not use analytics cookies to track you across other websites, and analytics data is never linked to your uploaded bureau report.
06 Security
Uploaded reports and personal data are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. While no system is 100% immune to risk, we follow standard industry practices to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
07 Your Rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and uploaded reports.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time, subject to legal or operational limitations.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
08 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as EligiCheck evolves. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page.
